This was the question discussed by a panel including David Maxwell Fyfe, and Eleanor Roosevelt, a principal figure in the drawing up of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights, broadcast by the BBC Home Service 75 years ago.
Inspired by this programme, David's great-grandchildren, Lily and Robert, have created their own podcast of the same name, full of astonishing intimate insights, practical idealism, and gritty planning from those thinking about human rights today.

They put the same six questions to each of the 15 contributors including lawyers, academics, educationalists, activists, parliamentarians, religious leaders, charities and organisations in an hour long conversation which was released to coincide with the 80th anniversary of David Maxwell Fyfe's speech at the Nuremberg Trials.
